80s Jingles

I was born in 1982 so I am fortunate to remember some of the magical decade that was the 80s.

What’s funny is what I remember isn’t the bad hair, stonewashed jeans, or ABC After School Specials… what I remember are the commercial jingles.

I was having dinner with some friends and one of them randomly had a whatchamacallit bar in her purse. I INSTANTLY thought of the jingle, “chewy-chocalately-crunchy-munchy.” And thanks to the wonders of YouTube, I was able to relive a moment of my childhood all over again…

Which then led to a trip down memory lane…

If there’s one thing the 80s did right, it was commercial jingles. And how crazy that 27-odd years later I’d still remember them?

Come to think of it, I can remember a ton of random songs and jingles from when I was a kid.

Why and when did we stop learning things through music?

And what happened to commercial jingles?

Seems like they were effective to me.

I digress.

So what was your favorite 80s commercial?

(For the record: If you need someone to sing you the names of the 50 states, presidents, books of the Bible, or all of the prepositions… I’m your man.)

Haha… I didn't name any names. I think the fact you had one just makes you cooler.

Hilariously enough, I was just singing the Lite-Bright jingle last night
