2010 Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit

In the past ten years I’ve attended over 30 different conferences. Yeah, crazy I know.

Having not attended college, conferences have served as a learning opportunity for me, and I’ve valued the opportunity I have to learn and grow by attending them.

While there are many great conferences out there, one I consistently look forward to is the Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit.

I attended my first Leadership Summit in August of 2002. I’ll never forget Bill Hybels talking about “Courageous Leadership” and the fact that  “the local church is the hope of the world and its future rests in the hands of its leaders.” That moment marked me, gave me passion for the Church and began a leadership journey that continues today.

Leadership Summit delivers fresh insights from some the best speakers from both the religious and business communities to over 100,000 leaders around the globe.

The 2010 Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit is coming up August 5-6 and this year’s lineup includes:

    I'm actually looking forward to hearing from Adam Hamilton. I subscribe to his podcast, so I get to hear his teaching…but I've never heard his teaching in the conference style setting.

    Also, it's interesting to have someone like Adam Hamilton be a part of the event, being as he's far left of center of his evangelical colleagues, and he's from a mainstream denomination as opposed to an evangelical one.

    Founding & current pastor of the largest United Methodist Church in the country is saying something though ;)

    I won't be making it to the conference, but out of the ones listed I would be most interested in hearing from Daniel Pink or Jack Welch…never heard either speak in person.

    From what I've read of your content, they picked the right person to be the "official blogger" for the Summit. Congrats! This will be my 2nd year attending and I am looking forward to it immensely.

    I'm sure all of the speakers will be top-notch, but I am particularly interested to hear Daniel Pink.

    As for who I can't wait to hear speak that is one tough question. I guess I'd have to say Daniel Pink since I just put his book on my must read list. I may have to get it before the conference.
