Church Communications Coaching

In my early days of doing church communications one of the most vital relationships I had was with a guy named Kirt.

Kirt worked as the director of communications at a much larger church in town and had years of experience in communications and marketing, both in churches and in corporate America.

For nearly four years Kirt was a mentor to me.

At least once a month we’d get together for breakfast where we’d share about projects we were both working on. We’d talk about the woes of doing church communications, and the tricky balancing the act of leading from the middle while doing what we were passionate about doing.

Kirt was a mentor, friend and coach all in one, and I owe much of who I am today to those frantic phone calls, early morning breakfasts, and insight he gave as I began my journey in church communications. He not only gave me valuable insight but connected me to others church communications people [like Kem Meyer and Dawn Baldwin] and opportunities to grow.

Having people in your life that are a little further ahead of you on the road is invaluable and I’m thankful for what Kirt did for me, and now I’m ready to pay it forward.

Earlier this summer I hosted “Summer Office Hours” where I had the chance to connect with over 40 different church communications people. I was able to hear about their unique challenges and opportunities, and share some of my insights. It was a rewarding experience that reminded me how much I love to connect and help others.

So, I’m so excited to announce that beginning in January, I’ll be offering one-on-one coaching for any of you who are starting your journey in church communications or would like to take what you’re doing to the next level.

The beta group will last for twelve months starting in January and is open to 12 people. It’s for anyone who’s getting started in their role in communications or anyone looking for a reset.

The coaching will be one-on-one with bi-weekly check-ins, as well as group video conferences, and an online community space to share and exchange ideas. No travel will be involved and there will be a ton of freebies!

Want to know more? Click here for details. Applications are due by December 1.

Being up front: cost is $3,500 per person for the 12 month experience. Read the fine print to see all that’s included and you’ll see that it’s well worth the investment. [No travel or other costs are involved.]
